Gears 3 still gets hella burn. It's one of the best reviewed shooters of all time.
Why do you think Gears isn't as popular as COD? Is it the learning curve? Very few people (including myself) picked up Gears and was immediately good. It took me a minute

Learning curve and turnaround rate. It's not like a new gears comes out annually, and word of mouth can only stretch so far in a culture/society that demands newnewnew.

Edit: just to elaborate on my infatuation with gears, I INTENTIONALLY don't have a 360 because I gotta study and get ready to move to Japan. If I had Gears 3, I'd have half the post count on here and I wouldn't have known that this thread existed, including ignoring many obligations irl. tekken tag 2 is already bad enough....

I've read all the books... really shed's light on al the gears and the locust and adam fenix and why marcus hates hoffman and all their relationships.
I've not read or finished the slab but im gonna get it and finish it one day when i have time...
