We just tested the screen off issue you mentioned on YouTube with our latest episode and did not come across any compatibility issues or screen off issues.

Is this where you had difficulty or was is it listening to the podcast through our podomatic link?

When I go to PodOmatic | Podcast - GeekSet and click on the download link I am offered an MP4 file. I then try to play it on my Galaxy Nexus and it says file incompatible so I go download something that can play it like MX Player. Now with MX Player I didn't mess with settings too much so it may be on me but it plays it like a video and not as a sound file so whenever I go to open another app like a browser or turn my screen off the MP4 stops playing. Not only that but it eats more battery than a regular mp3 would.

I'm prob the minority here when I say I only listen to podcasts when I'm at work and have no signal so watching via youtube or streaming isn't an option for me. I'll just convert them myself in the meantime.

1) I can drop what I use but I doubt it'll help yall much

3))not much to help power users breh, processing eats up battery life sorry to say but android has come along wau in that department.. But we'll see what we can do to help ya

OK that explains it all, podomatic offers it to you in mp4 format, reason they do that is because mp4 files are smaller than mp3, We unfortunately have no control over that . There converting our file to mp4 on there end.

Only thing i can recommend is using a our youtube link and youtube downloader page like

which lets you download and covert the wmv file to many formats including mp3

What compatability issue? The one 2guns up is havin it's out of our hands, we can't control the format podomatic uses after we upload it.

I don't even know what pocket cast is... What issues are you having?

U don't know what Pocket Cast is? It's the main app I use for downloading and listening to podcasts on my android device. Allows for streaming and scheduled downloading of most podcast feeds. The issue I have with it at the moment is that I'm only able to see the latest episode (before I wasn't able to see any). Had to download Stitcher just to remedy that but Stitcher is stream only.

Does that app show all previous episodes? Is it giving you the wrong format? like 2gunsup was?


I appreciate yall taking the time to sub/listen..but we cant control what 3rd party apps/hosts do. They all have their own policies brehs...

It's supposed to show all your episodes. Idk why I'm only getting one. It's weird. By comparison, I'm able to see all of the Filling the Lanes episodes no problem.

Edit: nvm, I'm only able to see their last three. Maybe it's a bandwidth thing

Youtube playboy...we always tell yall everything can be found on youtube..thats why @newarkhiphop said to use YT downloaders to aleviate the issue
