As long as Democrats keep campaigning in Texas and treating it like it will turn blue, it eventually will. That's how you turn a state.

If those renewable jobs come in to phase out oil and gas in the Gulf, then Texas will go blue pretty quickly. Oil and gas is the only reason it's staying red for now.

If anything, Florida needs someone like Beto to organize the party. Gillum fukked up bad and blew it.

Houston being Blue doesn't mean shyt breh.

This is what I said yesterday, all this really means is that Biden's judicial candidates will actually get through and the easy stuff will actually come to a Senate vote instead of being squashed by McConnell alone. But I don't expect the country to change until we get at least 6-8 more years of demographic shift.

Democrats do need to start really pushing liberal legislation though and forcing someone to block it though. They're not going to get the big millennial/black/liberal enthusiasm they need to make those gains in the new demographic unless they actually give millennials/black folk/liberals proof that they're at least trying to change something.

If the Dems were serious, they would already have their SCOTUS choice ready to be voted in by this summer. But we know that folks like Manchin are going to withhold their vote to ensure that some "upholding tradition" ass nerd gets the nom.

The Dems should fill every single last federal judge position but they won't.

We win the cities every year but still lose because Texas is still a very rural state. Dems best bet is finding someone who can activate Hispanic voters.

That stuff you can’t do via reconciliation. What you can do:

1) Stimulus Checks ($2,000, $1,200, whatever it is)
2) More unemployment insurance
3) Federalized Medicaid (expansion in non-expansion state and money for expansion states)
4) Fix ACA i.e. Obamacare cliffs
5) Big green investment
6) Addiction treatment spending
7) State and Local Aid
8) Reversing 2017 tax cuts

Federalizing Medicaid is what Biden ran on and would free up money for states who expanded Medicaid already which would be rewarding them for being sensible.

And you can buy off Manchin with whatever $80 billion project he wants. Rural broadband? Renewable energy infrastructure? Drug addiction treatment? Etc

Yes I think manchin won’t be as bad as people think as Joe Biden isn’t trying to pass the craziest shyt and theGOP has went crazy .
