Depends on where that person lives. You telling me a person living in bumblefukk Alabama making $75K per year is in worse shape than someone living in Oakland making $100K?

Thats the fukking problem, people spend so much damn time trying to figure out who shouldn't get something that people that could use it end up waiting around. Like with this vaccine, so many more people could have been vaccinated if the government didnt spend 23 hours of every day trying to figure out who to exclude.

Means-testing policies rarely accounts for every situation and leads to division. You’d be better off just doing it wholesale and that group of people is 10 percent of the country. It’s not something to be upset about versus giving tax cuts to millionaires, which decidedly does decrease what you can do to better society.

I disagree here and that group of people is not 10% of the country...

Regardless what percentage they are, that family making 200k is paying taxes, far more than 4k...

Where do you think the government is getting the money from to handout those checks? Taxes will have to go up which directly affects the family making 200k more than it does the "average" family...

So in the grand scheme of things, that handout isn't helping them, you're not achieving anything but wasteful spending...

The GOP can marginalize Trump by leaving him to his own devices.

Much of his allure is based on the perception of being a grade A troll/a$$hole who just keeps winning.

In truth, there really wasn't much winning, just corruption and kissing Trump's ass.

In the end GOP is going to have to support some of the more popular positions being pushed.

Biden is offering them a few layups out the gate with student debt relief, education reform, and the coronavirus packages.

when the $2000 or $1400 stimulus is voted on in the senate, The republicans who votes against it will be bludgeoned with their vote in the next midterm election.

I'm asking why should a family that makes 200k a year (aka NOT an average family) receive an additional 4k a month handout from the federal government...

What is that achieving? You can't give the "average" family checks without giving it to those who don't need it?

Should a single male living in rural Idaho making $50k a year get the money?

What if the family of 4 made $75k last year but is going to make $200k this year should they get it?

What if the family of 4 just started making $200k last year but has $150k in debit? do they get it?

What do you want to base on who gets it and who doesn't?
