You could argue that Weeknd's year was more impressive. Kendrick is a pure artist and delivered a masterpiece which was timed perfectly but was uncompromising. Weeknd had a disappointing first album but rebounded - found the perfect balance between his dark style and straight pop and delivered undeniable hits whilst still retaining his fanbase and his mystique. You could be onto something...
