It counted, although I'm almost sure only the people that know that song could make out what he was saying, but the fact he did that verse but skipped the popo line is what makes it so perplexing to me.

He left out certain lines just for breathing purposes.

Im learning guitar and how to strum chords rite now. He was definitely struggling with the chord fingerings and the chord progression

Not hating but it looked like there was a point in the first verse where getting back on track with his guitar almost threw him off vocally but just barely. A moment you can pinpoint specifically and in that moment he got back on track he was saved by the lyrics just happening to say "and baby I be moving on" . . which gives him enough momentum to pull away from that hick-up
