The fix was in when they announced the rap category would be televised. It was them compromising so people wouldn't be as mad. I "get" why metal isn't televised for instance but pap dominates culture around the world now, it's idiotic to not to televise the genre for all to see so I'm glad they're doing it.

Still grats to Kendrick for the wins he did. At the end of the day now Rapsody, Kamasi Washington, Terrace Martin, Thundercat, and everyone else who helped make TPAB has a Grammy now. Good for them, can't take it away.

It's like I say about the Oscars: Scorsese is the GOAT yet didn't get director of the year until the mid 2000s lmao. It's politics and shyt that isn't real.

I've always wondered what exactly is the criteria to win album of the year or any other award at the Grammy's for that matter. Is it record sales? Impact? Radio Play? I know most of the people here is like, who cares, but I think it would go a long way to show how the process is done. I mentioned the same thing last year with the whole Beck album of the year fiasco.
