I for one don't understand this, and might even make a thread about it. My local radio station and the other popular stations barely play Kendrick. I understand the Grammy's don't have the best credibility when it comes to who should actually win the awards, but it should have major pull in the radio industry. How is it that Kendrick Lamar is nominated for 11 Grammy's, yet I hear him maybe once every day on the radio. I swear to God, I don't know the last time I heard Alright on the radio. Is it just Houston or what. You would think they'd support him more.

What does this have to do with the comment you quoted? And what is trying to be deep? Kendrick had a message and said it, if having a message in your music is problematic, then yea, stick with drake and friends' collaborations.

I've always wondered what exactly is the criteria to win album of the year or any other award at the Grammy's for that matter. Is it record sales? Impact? Radio Play? I know most of the people here is like, who cares, but I think it would go a long way to show how the process is done. I mentioned the same thing last year with the whole Beck album of the year fiasco.

I think its who the grammy board think made the dopest album or song, that's why sometimes you see Beyonce lose to people like Beck

I can totally see why they choose Drake's Take Care and a WTT song over Nas in the 2013 grammies, cause they sounded more diverse musically

A lot of those underground artists, like Beyonce's sister for example, the sound of her music is far different and more creative it seems.

It was politics as usual. I meant more from me but it actually got more overall. Billboard Awards is the only award show that offers objectivity because it goes by sales and spins.
