I’m honestly confused. Ballard/Reich tried to win now and that shyt failed in the worst way possible, Irsay tried to shoehorn Saturday/Ehlinger into our offense and it backfired, so now we’re blowing it up? And Ballard stays??? Wtf are we doing???I don't like Giants getting Campbell.
I don't think he's a great player or trust him to stay healthy. But WTF at him spending every season injured, then when he finally does something we let him go?
Also, considering what just happened to Zeke + what appears to be a long rebuild, how does Taylor fit into that? He's already 750 carries in and led the NFL in carries before. By the time Indy is ready to content, he may already be. Spooky times when we have to pay him.
I don't mind staying put at #4, but considering our other FA moves so far, should've let Ballard go. Why does he get to lead a multi-season rebuild and start his 5th era? (the Minshew era!) About to have to listen tos make dumb mustache jokes until our rookie QB (if we get one) is ready.

“There’s no question about that,” Irsay said of Ballard staying here past this season. “Honestly, it’s not really even in the consciousness of my mind about that sort of thing. Chris was highly sought after when he came here. It was a great indication this organization – that he wanted to come here. He could’ve gone anywhere he wanted. He’s been Executive of the Year before. You guys can try to diminish him all you want, but that’s just your words. They have no substance to it because there is no truth in it. I mean, the guy is a winner and he’s been immensely successful. No one is perfect in this game. We all lose a lot in this league. You know how many shots Michael Jordan has missed? You know how many games Michael Jordan has lost? I mean, in this league it’s tough and sometimes you don’t understand how fortunate you are when you’re around success because you think that’s the norm. But it’s not. And he fits right into that culture.”
BRUHI think Ballard is a good GM in terms of scouting + understanding the game but has some flaws. Too scary to take a risk, poor handling of QB situation and I don't like how he structures teams. It's like he's aiming for 9-8 on purpose.
Irsay sees all the good about Ballard and makes excuses for the bad.
He's the same guy who allowed Bill Polian to install his son as GM and kept Grigson too long.
Irsay is too loyal.
I don't care about the #1 pick, but all of this signing top kicker and letting players walk
I think he might pull some real fukkery in the draft.
