Yeah the pay isn't the same but I think Gov Tech and Med Tech are a bit more secure. Before Elon and his chain saw Gov Tech positions were mainly secure. And now you got Trump talking about some "Golden Dome" and raising the pentagon's budget to 1 Trillion Dollars.
You can get more money if you're willing to go overseas one of the cats I use to work with was getting hella bread working out of South Korea and Japan.
But it's people making great bread here in the states. I plan to be in Gov tech my whole career maybe pivot to Med Tech. One thing for certain it will always be wars and conflicts as well as sick people on this planet unfortunately.

UK Armed Forces Minister Luke Pollard is giving a statement in the Commons about protecting UK military bases, and started speaking just minutes after the news from Qatar broke.
"This is a fast-changing situation and we are monitoring it closely," he tells MPs.
He says he can't give details at this stage - but adds "the UK government utterly condemns any escalation".
"We have put force protection measures at its highest level to safeguard our personnel in the region," he says, continuing: "We have robust measures in place to protect our armed forces personnel and their safety is our top priority."

Here’s we know about Iran’s attack on Al Udeid
- Flares were seen over Qatar’s capital as missile defence systems of Al Udeid Air Base were seen launching into the sky.
- Multiple loud explosions were also heard all around the capital.
- Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed it launched a missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, and warned that any further acts of aggression would be met with force.
- Qatar’s Foreign Ministry decried the attack, saying it is a “violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace and the UN charter”, and that Doha reserves the right to respond.
- Qatar’s Defence Ministry said its air defence systems successfully intercepted the missiles, adding that the incident resulted in no deaths or injuries.
- The Iranian Supreme National Security Council said that the strike was away from residential areas in Qatar and that it “does not pose any threat to the friendly and brotherly country”.
