The truth of the matter is that Israelis are scared for the first time in a long time and Iranians have obviously mixed feelings about all the destruction and violence. Israel is better at their media blackouts (which says a lot in itself) but Iran, some folks hate the regime for dragging them into this. Some say I want both sides to suffer, some say fukk Israel.
Neither government wants to lose, so here we are.
Plenty of people have posted such news from Twitter. Civilians on both sides want it to end, Gaza is STILL being actively destroyed by Israel, and the United States NEEDS to stay out of this.
The United States jumps in, then the real escalations happens. I do not want a Trump cabinet trying to figure this out.

This a hot topic. To me personally I'm not that invested emotionally though. Seem like the middle east been waring forever.

If in the 2000s Iraq and Iran suspended their beef to provide mutual defense if either one was attacked by Israel, Israel would have a much harder time with its colonial project.
