HAPPENING NOW: Israel is getting hit by another round of Iranian missiles. Many jews are starting to describe it as "genocidal," "another Holocaust," etc.
Yes, it is horrific. We don't like to see innocents harmed on either sife. But here's the thing that jews need to understand: invoking a term like 'genocide' to describe this conflict is completely baseless.
If Iran were genociding jews right now, how would that explain the fact that jews are still having babies in Israel?
If Iran were conducting "another Holocaust," why are there still so many jews alive if Israel right now?
The fact is, when jews use the term 'genocide' to describe Iran's procedures, they are spreading an old Blood Libel trope against Persians. It's a form of virulent Persian-Hatred, a way of demonizing, marginalizing, and vilifying the Persian Community.
Some jews respond by showing footage of "dead jews," as if this proves anything. It turns out that if you look closely enough at the supposed bodies, you can see ketchup, fake dolls, and other Hollywood-style theatrics being used, according to analysts online.
So, please, let's end the hateful rhetoric. This isn't a "genocide" of jews. It's a conflict. And jews can end this conflict any time if they would just cooperate and decide to live in peace
