The recent conflict epitomizes a lot of my complaints about the Trump crowd who kept saying "NO NEW WARS UNDER TRUMP!!!" You can draw a straight line back to a lot of Trump's actions that explain a lot of the international conflict over the past 5 years. The "Abraham Accords", or "Peace in the Middle East" as so many conservatives,
@benshapiro
included, called it, was a deal that cut out Palestinians from Middle East negotiations and directly lead to the 2019 Border Riots, which fed into the anxiety and frustrations that were the big motivations behind the October 7th attacks Ukraine and Russia sat by with Trump selling weapons to Ukraine but taking no strong position on the conflict at all, emboldening them to invade in 2022. The drone attacks and coordination with Saudi Arabia against Yemen under Trump continued to feed into the impoverishment and destablization of the country, further entrenching the Houthi's power and strengthening their relationship with Iran. The tearing up of the Iranian nuclear deal and the inability to negotiate anything lasting with them has lead to the conflict we see today, with Iran rushing for nuclear weaponry and Israel trying to stop it at all cost. The absolute and total surrender of the United States and Afghanistan forces to the Taliban in Doha (without the Afghanistan government even being involved or notified of the negotiations!!!) followed by the draw-down to historic lows of troop numbers there, leading to the catastrophic collapse and hasty pull-out in Afghanistan under precarious conditions. etc...etc...etc...
