Other countries can get it if they have the resources, Russia will lead Africa nuclear energy with Burkina etc.. Isis Ra don't want Iran to have it because they are a threat to their Super Isis Ra plan.
I definitely think African nations will have to ping help from Russia to provide cover for it.

I think the biggest adversary to it would be the U.S and the sneaky movements this country is known for so they’ll need another Super Power to cover at least so they don’t get intimidated physically.

They’ll most likely have to deal with a lot of the clever sabotage like how Iran got hit with the Stuxnet worm. Those’ll be the biggest barriers and something Iran has to figure out how to deal with over time.
It's also worth noting that within black Africa, the countries with The industrial and academic capacity to build one don't have any actual enemies. (Sa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, TZ, etc)

It's extremely rare to see cross country fighting, when most African fighting is internal , which eliminates the paki/India/iran incentive to go nuclear . Additionally, no great power has any incentive to actually attack them which eliminates the North Korea incentive to develop nukes.

At this point the only motivation may be national prestige. But The economic consequences of pursuing a nuclear program would make this reason foolish.

Whilel I like the idea of Burkina Faso being able to pull it off, let's not kid ourselves here about their lack of industrial capacity, academic capacity, and supply chains. Maybe 40 or 50 years from now, but I highly doubt any of this sahel alliance countries could pull it off in our lifetimes, even with Russian assistance.

Other than them, the only nation with regional beef may be Ethiopia. But they far outclass all of their nonkenyan neighbors in conventional arms giving them no incentive to pursue nuclear armament.

@FAH1223 how the hell did Pakistan get a nuke but Iran with all their intellectuals couldn’t yet?

Pakistan got the bomb because they had the perfect storm of circumstances that Iran just doesn’t have…

A.Q. Khan basically stole uranium enrichment tech from the Dutch in the 70s and brought it home. Plus China was secretly helping Pakistan big time - giving them bomb designs, enriched uranium, the whole package. Meanwhile the US looked the other way because they needed Pakistan as an ally against the Soviets in Afghanistan.

Iran’s situation is completely different. They’re under a microscope with sanctions, cyber attacks (remember Stuxnet?), and their scientists getting assassinated. No major power is secretly helping them like China helped Pakistan. And it’s way harder to do this stuff in secret now compared to the 80s.

Iran actually has smart nuclear scientists and decent tech - they’ve enriched uranium pretty high. It’s not about brains, it’s about timing and geopolitics. Pakistan developed nukes in a different era when it was easier to fly under the radar.

Unfortunately they have disposable US troops for that and trump is powerless to do anything about it. America sacrifices its young men on the ground, while Europe and Israel fight the war in the air.

I’m old enough to remember the endless propaganda on tv to start of the Iraq war, at that time there was barely any opposition to it despite the hippy protests, partially due to being few years removed from 9/11. This time is different tho, a significant portion of the population want nothing to do with these forever wars.

I don’t know how it plays out but Iran can not be defeated by air superiority alone.
Invasion won't work. Iran territory is well enclaved by mountains. Whoever send troops will expect massive casualties on some D-Day WW2 shyt. This is why they never attacked Iran even though they wanted too since 2001.
The US military doesn’t have the manpower to invade Iran.

Can't really do shyt against a place that has cave/underground systems for their important stuff.

If shyt ever goes nuclear forreal all the world leaders in military/science/diplomacy gonna hide in subterranean bunkers while the rest of us get cooked

Iranian security official: We are ready for a prolonged war, will increase attacks

A senior Iranian security official has told Al Jazeera that Tehran is readying itself for a prolonged confrontation, and will step up its attacks.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Iran did not start the war, but would determine its end.
The conflict is Netanyahu’s war, the official said, and its outcome would be the destruction of the Israeli regime.
The official said that Iran was defending its people — and that US President Donald Trump needed to decide whether to waste American taxpayers’ money on Netanyahu’s ambitions.

Norfeast groovin…

Now this would be wild and definitely increase the chances of this becoming a regional conflict. I’m really curious to know if other nations might actually stand with Iran as they’re the only sovereign nation that’s stood up to Israel since Oct 7th. Perhaps Türkiye also? Pakistan and Türkiye joining the Iranians would be major. Would also be a huge gamble on their parts. At minimum, maybe they could put pressure on the Jordanians to stop interfering in Iran’s lawful response to being attacked.

We might be getting ready to witness the formal birth of a new multipolar world.
