Missiles streak across Israeli sky amid air raid warnings​

Al Jazeera is reporting from Jordan because it has been banned from Israel and the occupied West Bank.
We’ve just seen missiles on their way to Israel.
Israeli media has reported debris or missiles falling in central Israel, perhaps in the Jerusalem area, and parts of greater Tel Aviv.
This is about the eighth wave of missiles from Iran in the last 24 hours.
Israel says most of the missiles are intercepted but as we’ve seen, in the last three or four days, some missiles do get through and can cause considerable devastation.
And, of course, we don’t know where every missile hits either, because of military censorship in Israel.

‘The battle begins,’ says Iran’s supreme leader​

In his first statement since Trump’s threat to assassinate him, Ali Khamenei writes on X: “In the name of the noble Haidar, the battle begins.”
Haidar is an alternative name for Imam Ali, the fourth Muslim caliph and a revered figure in Shia Islam.
The war has been raging since Friday morning, so it is not clear what the Iranian leader means with his comment, and whether it signals the start of more intense Iranian attacks.

Yeah I think we’re in for a shytshow, Trump was absolutely the worst person to have in place in a moment like this. I don’t see how they don’t declare all out war at this point given the threats against their leader and explicitly bring up regime change.

I think for countries in the region is a major fork in the road, do you continue to allow impunity from Israel or do you assist a rival/enemy nation at the expense of them gaining major geopolitical strength/clout should they not only survive this but actually succeed in bringing Israel to heel or even the more unthinkable threaten their actual existence as a settler colony.

Explosions reported in Tehran and Karaj​

Explosions have just been heard in Tehran and in the nearby city of Karaj, west of the Iranian capital, according to Iranian news websites cited by Reuters.
The reports come after a day of escalating hostilities, as both Iran and Israel continue to trade strikes over each other’s borders.

Iran launches about 10 ballistic missiles launched toward Israel, military official says​

Iran launched approximately 10 ballistic missiles toward Israel in its latest barrage, a military official told CNN, adding that most of them were intercepted.

The Israel Fire and Rescue Service said it received reports of impacts across the country.

Fire crews are responding to reports of a direct hit on a residential building in the central district as well as fallen shrapnel on another residential building in the north.

Several fires were also reported in open areas.

No casualties have been identified after emergency teams searched several affected locations, Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom said.
