Israel’s missile system ‘overwhelmed’

The Washington Post reports, citing an unnamed source, that Israel may maintain its missile defence for 10 to 20 days only without new supplies of interceptors from the US.
“They will need to select what they want to intercept,” the source said. “The system is already overwhelmed.”

US suggests it will respond to attacks on Israeli civilians

Echoing an earlier statement by Trump, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said: “The president has made it clear that if Americans are hurt, or, in this case, a missile [is] shot at civilians or American soldiers, that there would be a repercussion.”
Israel has targeted several residential buildings across Iran, killing dozens of civilians, since the start of the attacks.

Houthi official says Yemeni group will intervene in support of Iran

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti says the Houthis will come to the aid of any Arab or Muslim nation under attack.
“We will intervene to support Tehran against Zionist aggressions as we supported our brothers in Gaza,” al-Bukhaiti said.
The Houthis have been carrying out drone and missile attacks against Israel in a campaign that they say aims to pressure the country to end its war on Gaza.
Over the past days, Houthi missiles have coincided with Iranian launches against Israel.

Russia condemns Israeli attacks on Iran as illegal

Russia has condemned ongoing Israeli strikes on Iran, calling them illegal and urging a diplomatic resolution to concerns over Tehran’s nuclear programme.
In a statement posted on Telegram, Russia’s Foreign Ministry highlighted Iran’s “clear statements” affirming its commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), and its stated readiness to engage in dialogue with the US.
Moscow said it is awaiting an “unvarnished analysis” from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on whether Israeli strikes have damaged Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Iran remains a signatory to the NPT and has allowed IAEA inspections of its nuclear sites, while Israel has never signed the treaty and is widely believed to possess a nuclear arsenal.

US senator calls for ending ‘terrible chapter’ of Iranian government

Republican lawmaker Lindsey Graham, a foreign policy hawk and Trump ally, suggests the US should push to overthrow the governing system in Iran.
“It is now time to end this terrible chapter in the Middle East and start a new chapter. One of freedom for the Iranian people, economic integration for the region, working in peace and harmony, allowing all boats to rise,” Graham wrote in a social media post.

‘Contradictory messaging’ from Trump administration on Iran’s nuclear programme

Reporting from the White House, US
The White House put out 40 different examples of where the US president on the campaign trail said Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, as well as 15 different times that he has said it since coming into office.
But what can also be noted is that in recent weeks, Trump also suggested that Iran may be able to have a nuclear programme for civilian purposes – and when the two sides were very close to sort of inking that deal, then the goal posts moved and the president went back to his refrain that they cannot have a nuclear weapon.
So there has been contradictory messaging.
This has also been evident in the form of the US president essentially ignoring the director of his national intelligence who has testified in the US Senate that in fact, Iran was not close to weaponising its enrichment programme.

I am also tired of these politicians saying "Netanyahu war"....no bytch, its Israel war....israel is founded on white zionist supremacist ideas.

Iraq faces threat of spillover conflict amid US-Iran-Israel dynamics

With Iraq an ally of Iran and a strategic partner of the United States, Baghdad may struggle to avoid the fighting spreading to its territory, an analyst warns.
“There is a sizeable risk of a spillover escalation in Iraq,” said political analyst Sajad Jiyad. “Iraqis have a right to be worried.”
Jiyad said if the US supports Israel’s attacks, it “may lead to pro-Iran elements inside Iraq targeting US troops” or other American interests such as the embassy in Baghdad or the consulate in Erbil.
This could lead to the US and Israel taking retaliatory actions within Iraq, he added. Israel’s use of Iraq’s airspace to attack Iran has angered pro-Tehran groups, who accused US forces of allowing it.

At least Bush had ‘the dignity to lie’, says advocate

Reporting from Washington, DC
Jamal Abdi, president of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), a think-tank that promotes diplomacy, says Trump’s rejection of the US intelligence community’s assessment that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon shows that the war is his choice.
“Is Netanyahu now calling the shots and giving the president intelligence that he values over the United States’s intelligence? That’s why that that remark is so shocking,” Abdi told Al Jazeera.
“I mean, at least when George W Bush started his endless war, he had the dignity to lie to us about WMDs. Trump is just saying: ‘I don’t care what the facts are. We’re just doing this anyway because I say so’.”
Bush authorised the invasion of Iraq in 2013 based on false accusations that the country had weapons of mass destruction.

Israel waiting to see whether the US will help in attacking Iran, senior Israeli official says

From CNN’s Jeremy Diamond
Days into Israel’s attacks on Iran and its nuclear program, senior Israeli officials are waiting to learn whether US President Donald Trump will help them finish the job.

“We are waiting for the decision of the president,” a senior Israeli official told CNN.

US and Israeli officials have been in frequent communication over the progress of Israeli military operations in Iran and the possibility of US involvement.

But two Israeli officials said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not explicitly urging Trump to approve US strikes on Fordow, the Iranian nuclear facility that lies beneath a mountain.

Netanyahu, like other Israeli officials, is hoping Trump reaches that decision himself, without feeling like he has been pressured into it by his Israeli counterpart.

“The whole operation is premised on the fact that the US will join at some point,” a third Israeli official said.

Israeli officials insist that Israel has other options to destroy or at least temporarily disable the Iranian nuclear facility at Fordow, but none are likely to be as effective as a strike from US strategic bombers using 30,000 pound bunker-busting bombs.

no fkn way USA about to directly go to war with iran
Why dont they just play the " oh we condem israel " shyt and keep sending them munitions
why frump want to be all out in the open with it
Because the plan was probably for Israel to be the opening salvo to soften up defenses and the US brings the necessary firepower in the second round. The B-2 is the only aircraft that’s capable of launching the munitions, a 14 ton bomb, necessary to penetration the underground nuclear facilities in Iran. Even with that said we truly don’t know if it will full destroy the facilities.

White supremacy is a scourge upon this Earth. Telling people that they are the chosen ones and that they can do no evil is a scourge upon this Earth. They're not even Hebrews anymore. They're about as Arabic as the average black person is white. The Palestinians have more Hebrew ancestry at this point.

And all of that is based in the fact that some dude said God was talking to him and to trust him over all the other dudes that God talked to. It is the same for virtually every religion there is.

Iran is definitely on the backfoot

They were able to get off multiple big waves before now they’re being stalled and basically doing pop up style ballistic attacks, and Israel is whacking the mole since they have air superiority in the west

Israel is hiding how much is getting through but Iran is doing damage every time they launch it looks like. I was predicting regime change by next week if the US gets involved and it looks like the US is going to do that, but I’ll hold off on a timeline for now

But if Iran is willing to dig in and basically do guerilla tactics, how much would it cost the US and Israel in a year and could Iran last a year? Also Israel will be following the dahiya doctrine so they will try to level Tehran, so Iran has to be able to stomach that if they are going to hold out. I don’t know which way this goes exactly.

We lost too many troops during the first year of Bush's war. We have an even worse admin than that.

To the point where people are openly talking about using nukes. I dunno if it would go very long. Someone will get impatient and say fukk it.

Then the world changes yet again (since Covid).
