damn, i've been trying to figure out his pivot on this...good call. I've been BAFFLED. That is IT.
MAGA disliked neocons like Bush and Cheney, because those clowns entered America into wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Trump is making the same stupid mistake as Bush made except Trump's mistake is much worse because Iran is very well armed and they have historically had a tough army.

Hezbollah watches on as Iran and Israel battle, for now

Reporting from Beirut, Lebanon
When Israel bombed Iran and assassinated several top commanders in the IRGC on Friday, Hezbollah released a statement condemning the Israeli attacks and offering condolences for the slain Iranian officers.
Analysts say the statement was a clear sign that Hezbollah would not be entering the battle in support of Iran.
“Currently, there is no need for Hezbollah to intervene, as Iranian missiles are capable of confronting the Israeli occupation,” said Qassem Kassir, a Lebanese political analyst supportive of the group. “However, if the situation escalates into a full-scale war, nothing prevents the situation from changing.”
Others say Hezbollah’s lack of action may indicate it does not have the means to intervene military.
That’s because the Israeli campaign on Lebanon has left Hezbollah’s political leadership battered. Many of the group’s most senior military figures, including longtime leader Hassan Nasrallah, were assassinated. The group’s political hegemony is now being challenged by the Lebanese state, with pressure from the US and Israel, as it moves to disarm Hezbollah and bring the use of force under the state’s exclusive authority.

Iran's supreme leader issues warning to Israel as Trump warms to US military action. Here's the latest

The sun is rising in the Middle East as Israel and Iran trade missile strikes on a sixth day of conflict.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a warning at dawn on social media, telling Israel: “The battle begins.”

Hours earlier, US President Donald Trump called the supreme leader an “easy target” and said that America’s “patience is wearing thin.” He also demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

Trump is growing increasingly warm to using US military assets to strike Iranian nuclear facilities and souring on the idea of a diplomatic solution to end Israel’s escalating conflict with Iran, two officials told CNN.

Here are the conflict’s latest developments:

  • On the ground in Iran: Air defenses are repelling projectiles over Tehran after the Israeli Air Force said it was carrying out a series of strikes in the Iranian capital, and the military issued an evacuation warning for one district. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said yesterday that Israel planned on striking key targets in Tehran, and Israel’s air force said it was targeting ballistic launch sites in Isfahan.
  • On the ground in Israel: Israel’s military said it had identified a wave of incoming missiles from Iran, and explosions were heard over Tel Aviv. At least 2,725 people in Israel have been evacuated from their homes since the conflict began.
  • Fattah missiles launched: Iran launched Fattah missiles toward Israel, semi-official Mehr News Agency reported. Last year, Iranian media reported that Tehran used a new missile, the Fattah-1, in attacks on Israel. Tehran describes it as a “hypersonic” missile. But analysts point out that almost all ballistic missiles reach hypersonic speed during their flights.
  • Jordan intercepts strikes: Video taken by CNN’s Chuck Hadad shows Iranian rockets being intercepted in Jordanian airspace as seen from the capital city of Amman early Wednesday.
  • Digital attack: Iran’s Cyber Security Command said that Israel launched “a widespread cyber war” against Iranian digital infrastructure.
  • The role of US weapons: Israeli Ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter told CNN that the US-provided missile defense systems, including THAAD, have helped save “hundreds perhaps thousands of lives” in Israel since the conflict escalated.
  • Trump’s security meeting: Trump met with his national security team in the Situation Room yesterday. More than 30 US aerial refueling tankers have been surged to the Middle East to give Trump military options, two sources said.
  • US intelligence: Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard insisted she and Trump were “on the same page over Iran’s nuclear weapon timeline. She testified in March that the US intelligence community “continues to assess Iran is not building a nuclear weapon.” But Trump told reporters yesterday he believed Iran was “very close” to getting such a weapon.
  • Xi weighs in: In his first public comment on the conflict since it began, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said his country is “deeply concerned” by the escalation of tensions in the Middle East. Xi said China — a key diplomatic and economic backer of Iran — opposes “any acts that infringe on the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity” of other countries.
  • Oil and gas prices: Oil prices surged on Tuesday to their highest levels in nearly five months. The surge in oil futures that began last week is also starting to drive up prices at the pump. The energy market remains on high alert for potential supply disruptions caused by the Israel-Iran conflict.
  • US embassy closed: The US embassy in Israel announced that it will be closed Wednesday through Friday, adding that it has directed its employees and their families to shelter in place.
