Can't say that Perkins trade didn't work out for us

And everybody thought it was overpay for Green but now it's looking like good value especially compared to some of the similar players who are making double the money

He's also very clutch and lives for the big games

And has had some of the best dunks this season

Two buzzer beaters this season to win games

His stats as a starter are elite

Your thoughts on the rise of Green?

His stats as a starter are very good, not elite, but I do like Jeff Green's game and think that he is showing that he can become "The Man" for them when Pierce and KG leaves with Rondo running the point.

As a starter? 22.5 ppg, 5.9 rebs, 3.4 assts, 1.6 blks, and 1.1 stls:salute:

Him playing with Rondo, with no Pierce/KG will only increase his numbers I would think.

But fukk THE CELTICS:ufdup:

Jeff has always been a good player and he is someone that can help you win. But he is not gonna be the main player for a team that has title aspirations. But at his height and ability to play both forward spots as well as hit a jumper he is mismatch every night and that will always make him a valuable contributor.

Eastside of that Motor
KD, Russ, Harden, and Green would have been a problem :whew:

I think OKC had to know of his heart condition on the quiet tip before the trade to give away that much potential for an average big man that barely played in the playoffs

They did... Celtics ended up with an extra second round pick due to this.

This one came out of nowhere. According to Wojnarowski, the Celtics lodged a complaint with the league regarding Jeff Green's medical condition. There are no details as to when this claim was made, but this could be a small development that could potentially be something BIG (I'll keep using that NBA slogan until next season) in the future. The 2013 second round pick from OKC is actually from Charlotte so unless Charlotte pulls off a worst-to-first turnaround, that pick could be very useful. This is all water under the bridge at this point, but the NBA ruling on this will raise a lot of interesting questions: how much did the Thunder medical staff know, if anything, about Green's heart condition? Is there anything to the timing of this decision? With another rebuilding chip, does this influence Danny at all in terms of this draft?

UPDATE:

In a statement released by the NBA:

Stern found that there was no evidence of bad faith or any intent to withhold information on the part of Thunder management or its physicians, but that Oklahoma City's cardiologists were in possession of information about Jeff Green that was not shared with Thunder management and that should have been disclosed to the Celtics in connection with the trade of Green in February 2011.

Supposedly thunder doctors withheld info from thunder management but I ain't buying that at all

Thunder gave celtics what they perceived as damaged goods

Instead green looking like future all star while Perkins is on amnesty watch this offseason

Danny originally asked for harden for perkins
