Phoenix doesn't do sequels. He was gonna be Dr. Strange and/or Lex Luthor for BvS but he turned it down for simple fact that he had to sign a multi picture contract. Gosling is the same, he got picked for the SS Joker, turned it down and Leto got picked next. There's concept art of Gosling as Joker for the movie.

It looks like a Netflix series instead of a movie. Matter a fact I would have perferred a limited Netflix series on The Joker instead of a movie..but that's just me

I mean... he is truly against signing multi-film commitment as he like his freedom, but there is no indication that he wouldn't do a film by film deals if the film is a huge a success and he claims the mantle as the Joker.

He just doesn't like to be handcuff or give up bargaining power for a role that he may hate down the road. Plus, Multi-film deals are for stars trying to break into the industry. Name a truly amazing actor in their prime with their career in the right place that takes multi-film deals?

I actually think this is going to be amazing... Probably the best of anything DC has released. They bytched and bragged about no origin stories needed, and it appears all their best movies are the origin stories... Bout time they got this shyt on track

And yes... I'm basing this 150% on Joaquin's acting skills.. A good Joker can make or break a film and he's a great actor

Honestly, this teaser gave me no added anticipation, after watching multiple times I came away with nothing.

Despite the fact that I like Joaquin, I don't go to movies based on the specific actor. His mannerisms & subtle expressions do look good though.

If this wasn't the Joker I wouldn't be going to see it in theaters, but it is so I will.
