If they followed their same animated format where they release 2 "canon" films a year and then 1 stand alone I would be all over that.
Seems like they may even plan 4 films a year. 3 in the dceu and maybe 1 stand alone?

I'm not sure how I feel about this.
I mean one of the scariest and most interesting things about the Joker (at least most versions) is that he doesn't really have an origin story. Sure there's Killing Joke but that's more of a possible origin than anything.
By giving him a set origin story you kind of destroy the mystery/intrigue of the character, so it has to be really good to justify it.

I wouldn't say Vertigo, but more Elseworlds... sort of.
DC isn't shy about doing spin-offs in the comics that don't have any real place in the current continuity and it seems like they are bringing to the films as well.
