I look with a deeper eye than someone making faces, dancing, blowing snot, and acting awkward for a “mind-blowing” performance. Was he good? Absolutely, but the script didn’t allow for much depth in his performance.
He made me feel absolutely nothing because the character itself felt nothing. I didn’t feel his pain in the least.
Manohman, stop watching movies like this. Focus on smallminded minimal-investment lowest-common-denominator bullshyt like AquamanNeglect of what? He was a weirdo, which is why he didn’t have any friends. He wasn’t getting beat up for the sake of being beat up; he was a freak. They spent 2 minutes explaining his mother was crazy, and then he smothered her with a pillow.
This film did nothing to make me feel the plight of mental health because it wasn’t sincere. It was a plot device.
the tie-in to Batman was one of the only redeeming aspects of the movie. It’s far from film of the year, and you fan boys will be crying about the “PC” media when it goes winless at the Oscars.
The whole “is this really happening or is it a dream?” Approach is something you can do with damn near every movie if you wanted to. People did the same thing with The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, etc.
The fact you think JOKER is deep cinema might say more about you than me, but to each their own

Like I’ve been alluding, there was nothing psychological or thrilling about the movie. The subway scene brought a thrill but that’s about it.

The movie is up for a lot of interpretation, which is exactly how a joker movie should be

Aquaman was a good movie.
It helped start this nice run of good post-Justice League DC movies as of late (Aquaman, Shazam, and Joker).
One of the worst flicks I've ever seen. Repetitive, not one original idea, shallow af, focused on getting comic nerds some hard-ons
