besides the opening scene and seeing batman change weight throughout the movie, they arent obvious....you wont be able to sit there and say 'that's a whedon scene, that's a snyder scene'....

Maybe im off but the difference between whedon and snyder scenes werent visual but in tone. The shots of the city with batman. The resurrection scene and the last battle in russia were dark and gloomy but the gravity of the scenes felt like the JLU cartoon. Like more fukked up parts were cut or reshot and i felt like steppenwolf wouldve did more damage to the team besides borg before supes saved the day. Overrall i give it 8/10 and i think a directors cut wouldnt make this better like BVS

I remember seeing a pic of supes with the beard and black suit. I wanted to see that man

Family
RT: 39% with critics, 86% with audiences
IMDB: 7.8

:russ:

I don't care whether critics like it or not, but I'm glad it seems real people are enjoying it. Had a friend go see it last night and she loved it. Might have to check this out on Monday now. :lupe:
It's the biggest discrepancy between audience and critic scores for a comic book film. The previous was bvs.

The bias isn't against dc,it's against snyder.

I guess this goes back to my point about epic-ness. At most he was gone two months. A lot of things could have been fleshed out more. I mean Superman to me appeared to be buried at Clark's grave, so his colleagues had to have known Clark was dead. But this was glossed over.

Movie should have been 20 minutes longer.

So many things were just shoehorned in. The whole intro to lure a parademon was cool, but other than Bruce's hallucinations from BvS...how did he even know they existed?

Why did Steppenwolf all of a sudden decide to appear and go after the motherboxes after thousands of years.

Well the steppenwolf thing was explained in the left out scene with luthor in BVS and him saying the bell has been rung at the end

I think he means supes and how they were saying his name . BUT he's not famous Clark means nothing to a stranger . Even just saying Bruce Diana etc .

i acknowledged that, but that was still mainly in 1 scene....other than that, they were saying each other's names around each other without others around....

They can't even make a movie without getting the runtime right. This is like the 3rd time they have had to do cuts and reshoots. This is the second time the director has been forced to shrink the movie.

Don't you think it would make sense to give the runtime BEFORE production starts. They story, script and budget would probably be different.

the majority of movies do reshoots and cuts, yet it's an issue with this movie...lol ok man.....even with that said: that has nothing to do with what i said in response to you talking about theme/message....this movie has a theme and message that it effectively and clearly lays out...now whether you liked it or not is a different story, but it is there....

Breh you're wasting your time.

You're arguing with a guy who said he won't see dc films in the theatres out of loyalty to marvel.

Yeah my fired mentioned to me it was shazaam and I was like huh? Thought it was zues because I'm positive I saw ares as well.

I'm going to see it again Sunday.

it was zeus...when telling the story ww says 'gods' and they show him and artemis; steppenwolf makes reference to them when he says 'you have the old gods blood in you, good, but they're all dead'; and he's listed by name in the credits....

THAT WAS ALL explained.. you really living up to your name.

Bruce was speaking to Alfred that according to the ''notes from Lex files'' thats how they knew, Lex files

Why Stepp came back ?? explained too, the death of Supes aka the Kryptonian left earth unguarded and sounded the warning that Earth was defenceless

My loyalty also compels me to nitpick every single flaw with DC films. :manny:

U don't hate the characters. I hate Warner Brothers.

I get that, but what I’m saying is if we are going under the illusion that he still has an alias with Clark & Superman being 2 different people.....

I don’t think this movie took place like a year later or etc like sequels in other films, it’s almost the world was fairly fresh to him being gone, like they showed a glimpse of his funeral and when he was revived it wasnt like he had long hair or a beard like how it was in the comic when he came back

So it could be easily spinned that he was just away for a bit dealing with personal issues.

Think about it, Lois is his wife in this and she’s at work like nothing really happened. Imagine if everyone knew who Superman’s wife is and he died, wouldn’t media, cameras, or at worst her coworkers be all up in her face or at her house sending flowers and shyt? Or criminals coming after her or something

Martha

a good amount of time had passed between his death and this movie....i'd say about 6 months to a year at least.....say that cause his mom says she missed months of payments on the house; lois said she took time off work; and the amazons referenced it had been months since the mother box did anything...so the death of him wouldve been it 'ringing the bell'/waking up so to speak, and when it finally broke open was after the world had been without hope for a good amount of time and the fukked up feeling in the world was at an all time high
