its best to keep the tv and movie universes apart. would cause unlimited continuity issues.Wouldn't it have made sense to just use the TV Flash in the movie
The t.v. show had a core audience so they would've turned out for the movie.

Someone else explained it as you can be an animal lover and still have a preference for cats or dogs. I mean there are cat people who own and/or like dogs and visa versa. I do think people take this rivalry thing too seriously though.

I really am not sure what people want in a villain these days.
As in general in America there has never been this great gateway villain to point to in this Gen as a litmus for this great villain. So I just don't get what people are talembout. People said the same about hela in Thor and wonder woman.
Where, I am like what are they watching. Or what model of villain are they basing this critique on.
The justice league beat that ass and we got an ending where the villain got his ass beat.
Plus, the villain was powered up enough he was formidable in one on one hand to hand.
Personally, this movie moved towards getting the animated movie ported to the film and dc made some good moves to re-right what they messed up on in clarity in bvs with Steppenwolf and lex.

Imo, the casting of Affleck and the fact he is not believeable as a comic hero is what made batman feel neutered.
Imo, there really is only one guy who could be batman and after that batman is in general the hardest cast.
Simply because Bruce Wayne or batman is a completely fictional character and typically fits no visual mold of any person on earth. Past James cavizel, as batman. Which will never happen because he is probably held back because he was Jesus in a Mel Gibson movie. Caviezel is the only guy who could be Bruce Wayne in Hollywood and it would be believeable. So, just the fact Bruce Wayne is a hard cast makes the Affleck casting that much more of an on screen error.
As Affleck is exposed in every shot the dc characters take on batman because Affleck has no on screen convincability to make those jokes into a charming Bruce under the mask comedic charismatic moment like on the cartoon or in panel in the comics.

I think they stripped darkseid from this to relaunch it after they botched this. As they still have an animated darkseid new 52 style jl movie to port. That if this flops they can reboot it and still have the motherbox slash darkseid reveal. That centers around shazam's appearance and if that franchise with the rock works.
WB is just as inept a company as WWE and to this day still cling to the campy gateway ideal of these properties. While showcasing disconnect, to any pulse of what the consumer market would like to see via content and quality.

They could have easily done this.
Those asholes did not even explain and cut out where he got a new costume from. It is like this company has no idea what works. Or ruined what works so long ago, they are scared to revisit what works. Joel Schumacher may have hurt the enfamous suit up high point from hero films with what he did in batman and robin. Yet the whole Rambo scene still needs to be present and masculine. Not removed because dc made a movie where they made batman campy and gay decades ago. When you read about all the changes and recollect what you got. Then weigh it against the bad/good of comic movies.
You get this mixed bag of reviews that dc has.
