I think Kang was working though Miss Minute on a backup plan. I don't think he knows everything, but a universal war will eventually have a victor and I think he set in motion steps to choose who that would be. Potentailly even himself since time travel occurred with Renslayer before the branches happened.

I just sat through a Super Hero based series where the final showdown was the Ultimate Villan sitting behind a desk and talking shyt for 20+ minutes. And I was hanging on every word. Those branches at the end were every point in the future where Disney/Marvel will be taking my money. I thought it was one way but....
