i semi-agree with this. The show does some things really well but there’s just so many ham fisted agendas that come with it I’m just like :hubie: Especially knowing that this gay Montrose side story wasn’t in the book. Like of ALL the horrible things that happened in Tulsa, we really gotta focus on a gay kid’s love story? :skip:

:what: It was hardly "the focus" of the entire episode... this is why I don't take a lot of these criticisms seriously because y'all really be tryin to do the most. Tulsa was the focus.

If you wanna see a really good portrayal of the Tulsa massacre, watch the watchmen episode 1

This show really focused on the gay side story too much (like 3-4 episodes:beli:) . Seems like it was written in and pushed to meet a requirement or something. :manny:

And as usual it has some gore scenes that are unnecessary disgusting

This series is kinda trash now except a few great episodes in my opinion but I’ll keep watching too late to turn back :hubie:

I need a sense of urgency from the characters. Seems at times they were trying to fukk up the future by slowing around.

Okay, when I watched I was hyped about the NBA finals so I missed some things, what was the reasoning of going back to Tulsa to get the book to help Diana? Does the book of names have the spell that can reverse this shyt. Chissy needed blood from Lancaster to reverse the spell why they fukk she ain't get it when she went to Lancaster as William? That dam Ruby done went head over heels for that snow white life.

Watchmen just showed people being dragged by cars and brutalized within the opening scene. You get no insight into the people there any whatsoever. How is that a great exploration? I say this does a way better job because you see the before along with insight into the people in the city and you see Black People defending themselves and not just being hapless victims, as is what they showed with Watchmen

You got some with William Reeves family.

I did like that they actually showed the planes coming in and dropping booms on the Tulsa community on Love Craft Country. I agree it was good to see blacks actually fighting back that is a history often times omitted when it comes to us.

Montrose relived the night where he had to fight off a mob of cacs while his city was burning down, secs after having his man's brain matter splattered in his face. Montrose was like 13 at the time and the last rhing he said to his freind was hurtful....

^ almost everything above is pstd inducing and Montrose was drunk at the time, had just travelled thru to time, was looking at the worse moment in his life, and he tried to right the wrongs in front of him, his son (who may not be his) would cease to exist.

Who wouldn't cry? This the only episode I've like him:dame:
