calling it now. looking to bump this throughout the season & for his inevitable return to Europe in 4 years :wow:

Cant wait to see this cac fail. He’s being pushed as the cac MJ or Kobe & all them “experts” who is calling him a once in a generation player and predicting him to win ROY will look stupid when his ass doesn’t pan out.

Dallas fans :umad:

He doesn't operate in the mid-range :martin:

Great player nonetheless
He has a pretty good mid range stepback

Luka takes 12% of his shots from 10-16 and just 4% from 16-23 (hitting 41%/33% respectively), so that was a pretty funny take to claim he was a great 3-level scorer. (For comparison, Bron for his career takes 10% and 19% of his shots from those ranges and hits 37%/39%, and midrange is usually talked about as his big weakness.)

Luka is the modern day Larry Bird just a great scorer at all three levels.

Larry Bird was never a great volume scorer or ball-dominant player, he averaged 23.8ppg in the playoffs lifetime and only had two series ever where he surpassed 30ppg. In the Finals and Conference Finals he never even surpassed 27.4ppg despite playing in an era that was far higher paced than today's game. Only five 40-point playoff games ever and they were all in the first two rounds, in 31 career Finals games he averaged just 23.1 ppg and never once scored over 34 points. (And the typical excuse is that he had a great team so he didn't need to be a dominant scorer, but in series where his team lost he didn't up his output at all and he often had complete duds in elimination games.) He was a good scorer but not one of the greatest. But Larry was the greatest White player ever and talked good trash so he gets somewhat more mythos around him than his actual play deserves.
