That's a huge coup. He did the damn thing with Kick Ass 1 and X-Men First Class as well as Kingsman

Then again I thought Ayer was a dope director and WB still meddled with him on Suicide Squad so it all depends on how much the studio is willing to let the director breath.

You can see form kick ass he can make this element of hope about heroes with all the kind mordern ill shyt that even hardened people would dig

This would be huge if they got Vaughn. He has a great serious/dark approach to his work. Hopefully he could help out DC. They should've let Vaughn direct Batman.

EDIT: Damn he originally wanted Superman to be colorful and fun I want them to keep with the serious tone.

Matt Reeves has taken over the Batman movie, but he's starting fresh on the screenplay, making a release date several years off. That leaves open the possibility of further changes, even potentially Affleck's casting. "From everything I know, he's going to play that Batman," said Roven. "They're retooling the script, so I can't really say anything for certain."

The Superman sequel "Man of Steel 2" also isn't coming anytime soon, if at all. Roven says there's no script but "various story ideas" are being kicked around.

MOS didn't even do bad at the box office, I don't understand the people over at WB/DC.
