They underachieved and did not look great late in the season but come tournament time they're always an x-factor team because of their coaching. In my opinion, all the Mountain Valley teams are like that. Under-the-radar, but well-coached and tough as fukk. I love betting on those teams

Exxxxxactly. Missouri Valley games are sick. That conference tournament is one of the best to watch. So many great fanbases. Those teams are battle tested. Northern Iowa is another.

I'm trying to tell y'all Witchita is legit, but like Buddy said, they did have an underwhelming regular season, thus the seed. It sucks for Arizona, but it's not really wrong.

To be totally honest, if they weren't Witchita, I'm not sure that resume makes the tourney; just saying.

Alabama
Iowa
Utah

They won 1 of those, Utah. It's a great win, but that's all.

They only have 2 losses in conference which keeps them in the discussion, but the loss in their tournament is not good.

Now if that team isn't Witchita State, do you think it makes the tourney? Questionable.

So actually, rather than the committee under seeding the Shockers, I think they actually gave them the benefit of the doubt.
