Why can't buddy Hield go top 5 in the draft? These broadcasters just said he was projected 8-10
Draft so tarnished now to thinking freshmen automatically mean higher you go... shyts ridiculous if he aint top 3..

He might go top 5, teams may look at McCollum and Lillard and draft him higher based on not wanting to miss like they did with those two.
The issue has been that Murray is viewed as the better prospect doing similar things as Buddy but being much younger.
He's a rich man's version of Duke's J.J. Redikk. I hate that he will go to a bad team. It might fukk up his impact. Honestly, if Philly gets the #3 or #4 pick. They need to look at him as an option.
His best landing spot would be the Bucks, needing to create wouldn't be as big of a priority there and Giannis would get him a lot of open looks.

talent evaluators haven't been big on proven college players for years now. they only care about upside these days. I think Buddy has a solid shot to be a scoring option immediately and could move into a 2nd option over time.
This can go any way. Kansas has to beat Villanova, then OU, then UNC to win
UNC has to beat UVA, then OU/Kansas to win.
I honestly felt McCollum was a great college player especially his Jr year when he was healthy and more of a two way threat who could play PG unlike Hield. I would say he might be a better prospect. But Hield is amazing. His offensive skills is as advanced as anyone I seen out of college in years. I would say it's better than Redikk which I rarely stated before. I always looked at Redikk as the offensive skill class.
Of course, he is no Durant. Durant tools and length give him such an advantage that Buddy just doesn't have. He is as good as a scorer out of college I've seen in the last 10 years. The two best I've seen were Redikk and Kemba Walker where it wasn't just using superior tools to score like Durant, Davis or Towns.
He could be a special scorer in the NBA but man ol man, he needs to be in the right system. He is not a ball handling creator of his offense or playmaker for others. That will be a problem on a bad team. He's clearly better than Klay out of college but will Buddy get the PG and the system to develop in the NBA like Klay is the question. I like him but like Kemba, he could take years if he lands in a tough situation.
Nerlens is going to be a perennial DPOY caliber player, there's really no telling exactly what Hield will be able to do at the NBA level just yet.
