The ignorance goes both ways. Since I live in ACC country, I was stuck watching the regular ACC announcers, and they showed an aerial shot of Times Square, talking about how it was only a few miles from Barclays but, tryna joke, said "yeah but it'll take you an hour and a half to get here from there!" Tell me why I was low key offended, like "niigga, that's like a half hour train ride from Times Square, 40 minutes tops"

Am I the only one who was watching the ACC tournament games in Brooklyn laughing at them having them Bojangles' signs on the scorers' table and the basket? There was only one Bojangles in Brooklyn, and that lasted a minute before it got closed down....at people in the arena wondering what Bojangles is...
They don't understand. .. smh.
Apparently it's a bbq spot in BK that's thriving, serving Lexington and eastern style bbq.
I guess it's novel and niche enough in presentation to last among the hipsters.
Tourney just seems outta place that far north. Local pundits talking about Roy, and now even Coach K, low key implied they were on some
shyt regarding winning the tourney . .. I remember when Duke damn near lived to win the ACC tourney.

Might be because it's in Brooklyn... I remember the times it was in Greensboro or Charlotte, it was basically the dook/UNC invitational lol... dook fans going hard at UNC, and vice versa... And State fans just hoping someone pays them some attention lol
It does seem VERY out of place there. I heard talk that they might have it in the Garden one year, which I consider to be borderline sacrilegious. I'm a UNC fan, but growing up in NY, I remember too well the Big East wars with St. John's, G'town, Syracuse, Villanova. The Garden was made for the Big East.

Just saw the clip of a salty Boeheim throwing shots at having the tournament in Greensboro and saying he won't care either way after he soon retires, but the tourney should be held major metro cities.
The City of Greensboro fired back saying, "you can lose anywhere at least now you'll have a much shorter trip back home. "

did yall catch the announcers ranting off into a "favorite rap group" convo for a few minutes during the penn state game? they ranted off about run dmc & naughty by nature. then I think one dude didn't know who chuck d was, and then the other said chuck d & flavor flav were public enemy, as if they were just a 2-man group........and he swore he was droppin knowledge by saying that.
lol. they kept showing flav in the audience.

I was actually offended when I moved down south and found out that one of the most popular chicken franchises is called "bojangles".
