If he's running point, is this bad?
Yes, if you're coming off a pick and basically refuse to shoot when you're going right it limits what you can do, teams will play him for the drive knowing he doesn't like to shoot going to his right.

dude may or may not have to break down his jumpshot on some steph curry shyt ..but he's come this far....probably too late to break that habitYes.
Think about it spatially:
You have the ball in your right hand, moving to the right,
To shoot you must either:
cross to the left hand, essentially going back the direction you just came, allowing a defender who went over the screen ample time to get back into the play.
OR
Bring the ball across the body, going in the opposite direction of momentum, and shoot blindly as the arm and ball cross the face in order to get the ball to the release point and once it's there, don't overcompensate to the right while his body turns counterclockwise wise to square up his upper body to the basket

also while his release winds up above his head at the point of release...he'd be extremely susceptible to getting ripped with longer more athletic defenders sticking a hand in there...cause his motion is predictable...while its fast...cause he always brings the ball left and shoots while going left.

Just appreciate the beauty UCLA. They're a fun team to watchhas lonzo ever taken a shot going to his right?
ive watched about 8 ucla games...i cant recall a time he's drifted right and taken a shot...i mean thats most right handed shooters...but with the great shooters it doesnt matter
all his shots are to the left and a stepback shading his left
next level they're just gonna push him right on every pick and roll cause they know all he'll do is pass in that situation...if the lane isnt clear
Lonzo wants that purple and goldGet Lonzo to Boston, have Tommy Heinsohn & Lavar on commentary![]()
