So they play a college semi-final game in a pro football stadium... how come they never do this for the NBA?

:jbhmm:

Wouldn't the NBA Finals feel way bigger and even more important if it had this 'football stadium atmosphere'?

I get that you have home court advantage and teams are used to their stadiums etc. - but this definitely has something..

It's the NBA breh. Why would they want to be associated with football in anyway, especially during their biggest event

This is the first full March Madness game I've ever watched - it's fun. I've watched highlights, but I'm all about the NBA and a few other sports. If I'd throw in college ball I'd never get a thing done or make a single cent. I just wait until these hyped up dudes show up in the big league.

:yeshrug:

And then of course there's the huge group of 'next big NBA stars' that are top picks that never make any form of impact.. all that hype.

So far my impression:
-more crowd hype than actual really good basketball play (shooting on a 3-1 fast break, players who just don't move well (nh), do they even always run plays?)
-some individually really good players that can handle the pressure and seem like NBA material
-also some awful shooting (Cornwell?) and quarterback passes
-good atmosphere, crowd is really into it!

Side point: the crowd appears 98% white. Damn, if these are all college students and their families.. the system is really not in any way, shape or form set up to make young black children think they can succeed. So maybe they can rap or play basketball...
