Had Duke gotten the #1 seed they would have set the record for most L's for a 1 seed

and? so what? watching them the last week, it could be argued that they are the best team period right now. 1 vs 2 seeds is semantics at the end of the day, but Hollis basically said the tourneys didn't matter. then he's MSU athletic director and MSU not only made the tourney, but got in as a 9 seed?

you a UNC fan, so by default I hate ya guts, but this was glaring as well.



my biggest issue is that they basically ignored the conference tourneys save for the automatic bids from smaller conference. anyone who watched the games/uses eye test can see that duke should be above UNC. Them you compare them on paper and it becomes mroe obvious. Hell, UK should be above UNC as well.

I don't think there's any argument for Duke to be the 1 seed. Kentucky being snubbed is the bigger argument. We've always known the conference tourney does not affect their decisions too much. Maybe moves you up or a down 1-2 seedings. But it doesn't jump a 13 ranked team that finished 4-5 in their conference to a 1 seed.

Duke seed is just a matter of timing. If they were top 10 and went on the run they went on they'd be a 1 seed. You can't base Duke's position in the bracket off a comparison to one singular team. You have to move up the line and other teams in front have to move down.

there's plenty of argument that's been made through this thread and by almost all the analysts. i'm less upset that duke didn't get a 1 seed and more upset that UNC did over the likes of duke, UK, or AZ. other than UNC winning the ACC regular season, their resume is less impressive than duke who again beat them 2 out of 3 times.

i like iowa st ,only Big12 team i fukks with but nevada they been balling all season in the MW conference

If USC can get pass providence in that play in game, i like their chances against SMU as well.

So explain how Kentucky beat UNC and had less losses and won both their conference regular season and tournament unlike UNC but UNC got the 1 seed over them.

Both are even in the same bracket and Kentucky should have swapped with UNC period.

UNC had 7 losses won the ACC reg season with a weaker SOS
Duke had 8 losses won the ACC championship and beat UNC 2 out of 3 times and had a stronger SOS


Yet UNC is 1 seed over Kentucky and Duke who both beat UNC on neutral courts and over Arizona who has less losses than UNC and unlike UNC won their conference tournament Championship.

Stop making so much sense, the committee is full of members who frontrun for their own conferences, fail to look critically at the analytics, change their criteria every year and like storylines more than anything else despite what they say publicly...

But like I said the zags and tarheels both didn't earn their seeds and will prove such soon enough so I'm content.

No homer, but that's a pretty favorable path for the Terps.

depends on the match up....they got the perimeter play to win but lost there best big man and don't have much interior size to counter a team with size and athleticism.......


oregon unlucky as fukk though, best shot to win it all and they lose boucher on top of being under seeded....they still got enough talent to at least get to the final 4...

I give URI a shot just cuz Creighton's missing their best player and they haven't been the same since. The only advantage Creighton has is that they've had time without Watson
