How wrong you are. self chokes almost every tournament. Cal took 5 freshman to the national championship game as a 9 seed. Cal got josh harrellson to the NBA.
He's a real good coach. Don't know what kind of recruiter he is
I kinda wanted him after cal left. if he does good there we can just take him I guess
And I didn't understand the Alford love. Great recruiter but not a good coach
My only question is wheter Archie can recruit because it's still about having studs but it wasn't like Crean was amazing recruiting.he wasn't bad but wasn't getting in state guys he should have. if Miller can even recruit at a Crean level with his coaching ability IU should be in very good shape.

Self doesn't have Cal's talent. His offensive system is trash.
People saying Mack from Xavier should have took the job but Xavier's a school with a good history and now that there in the big east they have talent too. Their teams been just as talented as IU the past few years
Not saying IU isn't a better job but if the money's similliar and you like it there it's not a no brainer to leave Xavier for Iu as much as it is to leave Dayton

He's coaching 18 year old kids you can't have crazy offensive systems. he teaches kids how to play basketball and gets them to win and gets them to the NBA that's all I care about.
Lol every year he has talented teams, and a good blend of talent and experience. talent doesn't equal or guarantee championships.
So what's coach k's excuse? he had the top recruiting class this year, where is he?
He has a legitimate injury excuse, I don't think that makes up for losing so early but it is what it is.

I wouldn't lnow about passes, I think it just shows you how difficult it is to win the big one

Facts. Cal managed to turn John Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe into a loss to DaSean Butler and West Virginia
And don't even get me started about that 2015 Wisconsin loss. He managed to lose to Dekker, Kaminsky and 10 scrubs, having damn near a NBA team. Cal is a great recruiter, but see 2013 and last season for examples of what happens when he doesn't have overwhelming talent on his team
