maybe the reason there were any "qualified" Black Head coaches is because not enough get the opportunity in the 1st place....hence needing the rule?
fair point, im just speaking from Miami's point of view i agree that there should be more black men in high profile assistant ranks. Miami has 9 black coaches on the current staff and gave Larry Scott a hell of a boost on his resume. while i hope hes retained i will always wish him well for the class job he did under tough circumstances
i like Mullen, but Greg Schiano is the definition of looking the part. his claim to fame is coaching 2 Miami defenses that had mulitple NFL studs on them i didnt feel he was properly qualified for The U HC
