he was the O Co for the defending champs, thats how he got the UGA job

they interviewed Dan Mullen and Greg Schiano too, im not opposed to the Rooney Rule but there really wasnt a guy to interview.
Two white guys who haven't really done anything.
Schiano was overrated at Rutgers and Mullen has 1 good year under his belt.

But I see what you're saying

maybe the reason there were any "qualified" Black Head coaches is because not enough get the opportunity in the 1st place....hence needing the rule? :mjpls:

fair point, im just speaking from Miami's point of view i agree that there should be more black men in high profile assistant ranks. Miami has 9 black coaches on the current staff and gave Larry Scott a hell of a boost on his resume. while i hope hes retained i will always wish him well for the class job he did under tough circumstances

i like Mullen, but Greg Schiano is the definition of looking the part. his claim to fame is coaching 2 Miami defenses that had mulitple NFL studs on them i didnt feel he was properly qualified for The U HC

All the rooney rule does is get you a interview that's it. Cacs will hire cacs

People are saying there needs to be a Rooney Rule in college football.

How does a man get fired and have a high profile job in South Florida less than a week later?
All while black coaches struggle to find jobs.

I think it's a legitimate question.

Then it was just a dumb ass hire :yeshrug:

You plan on getting the best possible, not a DC with no head coaching or offensive experience.
What does no having experience in offense have to do with it?

good hire :obama:

even tho he didn't win many of the big games at Georgia, he brought in talent and kept them on the scene every year. imagine what he's gonna do with that talent pool in Florida :wow:

he might just be able to get to win a NC off of talent alone :yeshrug:

Because you nikkas are garbage on offense and that was the entire fukking reason Richt was fired. It wasn't the defense, it was the fact you nikkas couldn't score for shyt, so then you go out and hire a nikka who wants to do the exact same thing y'all were doing this year.
