It'll most likely be like Spiderman 1 where he's been Spiderman for almost a decade. So Logans main rogues gallery will already have been around and he's most likely an X-men already. Just having a solo adventure like he tends to do every now and then.

X-men Evolution, X-men 92 animated setoes and X-Men 97Wolverine and the Xmen was really solid too all animated series. Films are trickier cause canon is all over the place. X-men, X-men Days of future Past, Logan, and Deadpool and Wolverine in that order for movies if you want to give that a try.
