I actually agree with both of you, i just meant it wouldn't be a turnoff for me if it was like the spiderman game with wolverine.
but ideally i'd want a more linear game, and yes i'd like for his claw attacks to feel lethal and not having to crank up long combos to take out an enemy.
for me i think a good wolverine game would be like last of 2 when it comes to navigating the world and low key the combat as well.
A more up close and gory, single enemy focus, game would definitely be cool too, like being able to play that X-Men Origins Wolverine cgi opening that blew me away as a kid.
I just don't think Insomniac is up to making a game with that level of real world detail/atmosphere, the teaser didn't suggest that, and an over the top DMC combat system is a whole lot easier to sell for a comic book property.
What's weird is I think we'll be able to tell by the next trailer, if he's on the run I can see an over the shoulder camera, darker game but if at any point you see that he's suited up get ready for combos

I also don't think long form cutscenes like TLOU work in Insomniacs favor either, from what I've seen watching my brother play is there's a lot of walk and talk, immersive story telling.
I’m all for an action packed linear game. That takes place in different locations. With great combat and replayability. Not every game has to be open world.
