1st off props to Michigan St.
Y'all deserved this win,
y'all defense was as advertised
This loss hurt more than win my Indians lost the 1 game playoff
more than KC fukin up my Steelers playoff hopes
more than my Sharks and Warriors getting knocked out the playoffs
I mean it stung and I was pissed for a minute
All the hater azz texts I received from people
The hater azz Cal people I kno who had the audacity to say something smh
I wont get into Shaws playcalling
its worked for years at Stanford]It finally failed
To the niqquas out there talking shyt about his playcalling
Ol madden playing azzes,
you go with what works,
He obviously finally had a bad called game
My only gripe I will speak on outside the money that I also lost
Playaction
It's a dangerous play,
especially with stanfords run game
I mentioned it in the 1st half...
it was the difference with this team
they simply dont utilize it enough
I spoke on my gripes with our TE's
No they aren't Konrad Reuland, Coby Fleener, Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo
Going into the year not 1 reception was recorded by our TE's
They will develop tho
they always do
but it hurt us not having that threat on PA and between the hashes.
And I wont speak on how much it hurt us not having Montgomery in the 4th qtr
Moving forward to the off-season & next season
We return one helluva team next year
Offense:
We return both starting Tackles and Guard David Yankey(he might leave for the draft) But we have tons of experience as always behind these guys since we bring in O-Lineman regularly in our Big stacks formations. I'm not worried about this position...next up mentality
All of our WRs and TEs will be back. The development of out TE's will be key. Montgomery will be a preseason All American candidate at WR
Barry Sanders Jr will finally get his turn as a RS Soph. This will actually allow us to open up our offense more since he has great hands
Defense:
I don't see Safeties Reynolds or Richards leaving early as some speculate they might think about, this is Stanford, not Texas. But if anyone leaves, more than likely it will be Reynolds. All of our CBs also come back next year so we could potentially see our whole secondary back again.
We will return 2/4 linebackers in our 3-4 scheme, both weak-side ILB/OLB. Kevin Anderson got a lot of playing time so he will replace All American Trent Murphy.
We should get Henry Anderson back at DE so we could end up putting the entire DLine on the field that played today(Ben Gardner was hurt) minus Mauro. We also have great depth here
I'm liking what I'm seeing out of our team moving forward. Next year will be huge cause the following year will see a lot of new starters. I'm positive we will have another shot at a Pac-12 Title. Our team next year should be better than this years.
