Any doctors, pharmacists, nurses, technicians, anything post in here about your career. Any questions, help, etc etc on what it takes to get to where you want to go or how to get even further up the ladder.

Any tips on how to get hired, connections and networking....also for my brehs who in still in school. Almost done with this pharmacy degree...but i dont think I want to work retail

Not that it matters too much, but how old are you? Switching from accounting to healthcare might mean more school/debt than you really want to undertake

Having said that, I know 40+ year olds in med school, pharm school, etc. Never too late...its just you gotta be super sure this what you want to do to make the grind worth it.

Plenty of room in Healthcare for finance, decision support, informatics.

Thats a good point...I thought you meant one of the front line healthcare positions.

I dont know too much about that side of it, but I cant imagine it being too different from what you do now. Probably worse because healthcare in america is bloated as fukk

Healthcare should be looked at as an opportunity for minorities to take over and dominate. Indians Pakistan south asians have literally taken over certain hospitals.

I can't hates is stable and is in need.

West Africans and West Indians as well. I would love to see more African Americans in healthcare. There's a systematic issue behind that though that will take years to remedy.

My moms is a PA (Physician Assistant) and told me son, if you want a good steady always in high demand job, get into health care. Regardless of the economy, healthcare will always be there. So ya boy became an RN
