I have a bs in biology looking to get into the healthcare field. Currently working at acar dealership. Wats the best route to take ? Keep in mind my undergrad gpa was pretty bad
The first thing you can do is volunteer or work in any kind of patient care setting. If you don't want to do that, get some laboratory work in under your belt. Some people are able to get another degree, or join a MS program.

If you're serious depending on which field you want to go into, you have to destroy the standardized admissions test for that school (PCAT, MCAT, DAT, etc) so it'll offset your GPA. And like i said have solid extra curricular activities. If you did any research at all while in college try and big that up in any interviews. You can do it, it's just a tough road.

I've been doing Healthcare on IT tip for close to ten years now. Dealt a lot with data, analytics, dasbhoards and that type of thing. Last company I was with focused a lot on crating algorithms that helped identify the most costliest patients. The doctor and insurance company would then come up methods to help them. For instance if someone uses the emergency room like it's their primary care office, you would work with them to get a better relationship with their doctor and talk to them first since an office visit is was less expensive than an ER visit.

So if you're not looking to work directly with patients/consumers or whatever, there are plenty of other options.

SAME here, I've Worked WITH meditech, epic, Cerner, Midas,

Right now I'm working on a dashboard for meaningful use objective and pt visits.

People sleep on healthcare outside the regular clinical side
