Unpopular opinion but KD2>>>>> KD1 and Magic.

KD2 should’ve won Nas his second straight Grammy. That album is flawless lyrically and musically. Its Hit Boy’s magnum opus as a producer

"Death Row East" really is one of the best songs out of the entire series. KD2 as a whole is still crazy:

Death Row East
Store Run
Rare
Nobody
Count Me In
Composure (underrated)

^^^ these are just the standouts.

A lot of people don't like YKTV and 40 Side, most of them are people that seem like they don't go outside like that. But the second half run is one of the best in recent memory...the best in the series

"Death Row East" was so dope, you had to post it twice.

The only track that falls short is "EPMD 2" and that's not Nas' fault. Everything felt like it was so elevated from the first one. The beats were harder, the sounds were more varied, Nas had a bunch of different flows. It's that Michael/Quincy influence, like they found the latest technology and equipment and incorporated it into the music. It also gave us that amazing Grammys performance of "Rare."

IDK I'm always going to lean towards the pissy hallway Nas sound. It's that sound that made me a fan in the first place. KD2 has some insane highs but Magic takes me back to the project days :wow: plus his rapping on there:whew::wtf:

If you told me this was 96 98 era unreleased Nas I would believe you:scust:
With KD3 is just so damn consistent when the biggest complaint is "That song isn't better than the one I played before it's still really good" across 17 fukking songs in 2022 is damn near unheard of. Especially for someone who been in the game for 30 years & 49:dead:

Magic still my favorite too. The simplicity works. Just Nas rapping his ass off track after track with no fat. Perfectly sequenced too. The outro on Dedicated after the beat switch :banderas:
