never understood comparing reasonable doubt to illmatic, one is a mafioso album from radio driven 96 era and one is a boom bap album from 94, even if there's only two years apart, new york sound changed so much between in this 2 years, not only in terms of sounds but in terms of studio equipement too, there was a gap. rd was like a great, classic movie like the departed or the wolf of wall street. illmatic was like the godfather or apocalyspe now, we're talking about masterpieces territory here
now iww vs rd is a much better debate and make more sense

Effin mentioned that Nas and Common should do an album together, and Pete stepped in and said he should produce it. Didn't realize how big of a fan Common is.
At one point around the Untitled/DR era Common said they were doing a joint album, not sure if he brought that up on the video its too long
