so i like pvnch, but first off, is this the same or a different interview than the IG clip that was going around because if its a different convo then theyre just trolling to get engagement.
now back to pvnch. i wont say he doesnt know hiphop but he's a club dj. his lack of appreciation for albums in favor of what gets a club crowd moving is his biggest flaw as an evaluator. "nicer" is a code for what makes his sets move. i mean after all he was dj for bobby smurdah, young ma and 69. says it all. the other dude just seems to not know shyt. not even paying him no mind.

Alot of media dudes have a weird obsession with Nas. It’s something I’ve noticed over the years. Major jealous energy. Also the some of the Jay Stan’s go out of their way to try to downplay Nas because they know him and Jay are always compared. They push false narratives on purpose against Nas to elevate Jay in the public light.

Yep the disrespect is crazy. Coming from ogs and nykers at that. And wasn't Caz benefited from the paid in full foundation ? It's like Nas has to do twice the effort to be truly recognized

I think we all have to realize it's no legend that doesn't get hate.. Jay, Em, Nas and even Pac have people that don't really respect their legacy. I could care less what a Podcaster says.. dude even prefaced by saying, :I KNOW I'm going to get some hate" that tells u all you need to know..lol
Its because he doesn’t do the meet-cute shyt nor did he ever cultivate a leading media personality to be his “guy” like Hov did with Elliot Wilson or TDE/Kendrick did with Peter Rosenberg. Nas is the only top tier rapper who doesn’t have a big stan within media who’ll go hard for him.
But I think Nas likes it that way. If its one thing he’s been consistent about throughout his career its that he hates fake nikkas who show fake love.

maybe but i dont even think its that deep; i think nas is mostly oblivious to shyt because he's off doing his thing. like, i know jay be lurking around looking at shyt. young guru said he would catch jay watching battle rap and artists on line. nas be on his own planet. maybe when he was younger, but i think he peeped the game early and decided not to play. pere rock is the only one of his contemporaries or even ogs that's caught a bar in the last number of years. he aint said shyt to kanye, i dunno what to expect from rakim from interview to interview, now caz. im glad too...another thing jay picked up from the gawd.
Ironically I think Nas is very aware. He addressed the hate a lot through the hit boy run. He did it in the Nas way. I seen in his interview on Big Boy few years ago, he was reciting Rakim lyrics..
Chris Brown is an elite artist, you can tell he respects the artform of hip hop.
