One thing that always stuck with me on A2HH Coop said something about Nas "Other dudes probably got better bars but they don't give you that perspective" he's right.
When they arrest, when they come cuff your kids
They give us criminal records, because of where we live
And the money is low, and narcotics are thriving
It's evil, we diagnosed with something that's untreatable :wow:

America's a baby that's teething
shytting on his-self, crying for its next feeding:wow:(who the fukk talks like this)

These are just recent examples he's been doing that type of shyt since Illmatic. Giving you that real life perspective

Naija, London, Earth

A project minded individual, criminal tactics
Us black kids born with birth defects, we hyperactive
Mentally sex-crazed, dysfunctional, they describe us
They liars, at the end of the day, we're fukkin' survivors
I remember watchin' Scarface the first time
Look at that big house, that Porsche paid for by crime
How could I sell this poison to my peoples, in my mind?
They dumb and destroy themselves is how I rationalize:wow:(who the fukk sets off a verse like this)?

In the b*stardized nation, Magnum .45 carryin'
Where I'm from ain't far from Washington Heights to cop Aryan
A rookie boy, the cookie didn't make no profit
A stranger to the block, I damn near had to make them cop it
It only took a fiend to taste it once to say it's garbage
I brought it back to papi, ain't tryna take no losses
He focuses on my emotionless young dealer face, then pauses
He gives me powder, he has faith in Nas' ambitions to distribute coke
Had addictions to gold chains, Mercedes Benz hopes, but I'm again broke
This shyt ain't cut for me, other dealers, they up their orders
Barely at 62s, they already up to quarters
They out there every day, some true hustlers for you
I'm at it half way, none of my customers are loyal
Picturin' pipin' out the seats of a Pathfinder
Powerful pursuit for p*ssy, cash, to flash diamonds
My junior high school class, wish I stayed there
Illegal entrepreneur, I got my grades there
Blamin' society, mad, it wasn't made fair
I would be Ivy League if America played fair:wow:

Poor excuse, and so I was
Throwin' rocks at the pen, just for the love
Before the evil, the secret life of G's
You seein' me blurry, triple beam dreams

I remember hearing this shyt with the :damn: :dead: nikkaz really think there's better MC's than this dude? :mjlol:

Might be my favourite Nas feature of the last decade.

Only thing above for me as a feature is it’s mine with mobb…. Both them features and verses he turned into a movie….

That one was on a different level. Summer heading into fall 99 I was in college we would smoke and watch Rap City most weekdays :mjlol: they almost always played that video and we just be :ohlawd:

"We came a long way
From hallway steps and hand-me-down shyt
fukk my foes, I seen the other side, Nextel cell roam
Call the chopper phone, heliport in my home
Quincy Jones posters, wake up, guns under my pillow
I can't talk around chauffeurs
shyt is better than a novel, autobiographic
Spit it on tracks, it becomes classic
Start some, make my heart pump, spark one, I'm God's Son
Nastradamus last one to blast when the narcs come
Know how to leave anything in thirty seconds
When you feel the Heat coming and flee with the murder weapon
I'll release one, shot you deceased, learn your lesson
Your flesh turn to maggots, b*stards, you past it
Cremate your flesh to ashes
You don't need a suit, no wake, no funeral, and no casket"

:ahh:

Havoc flip of the Scarface sample was nasty too.

I would have just let the instrumental ride out for like a minute and some change after Nas's verse. Ross could have just did his signature ad-libs and had J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League go crazy for 1:30 with the instrumental. I wouldn't even look at it as stanning, but just amplifying the fact that I got an epic verse from the GOAT that late in his career.

As a matter of fact that verse needs to be analyzed by every rapper.

It started with rhythms I heard listenin' to the wall,
The bouncin' of basketballs on playgrounds an' all,
The empty bottles that's hollow, wind blowin' inside 'em,
The flow and the rhymin' got my alignment to a Science,:wow::wow:

Mixin' with my moms in the kitchen them spoons rattlin',
Pots and pans faucet water pourin' tunes managin',
To come from all the fussin' and ramblin'
What I noticed was - pure music untampered with,
By things show biz does; older thugs showed us stuff,
Like how to hold a plug,
juice from the street light,
It almost could have blowed us up,
Crates of records; great sessions had the whole hood jammin',
Large speakers fresh made; smell the wood sandin',
Father did his blues smooth legendary jazz man,
Saw his wife secondary to his true passion,
Started with my crew rappin' new jacks in '82,
Never looked back now look what it changed me to. music:wow:
