Maybe Im in the minority here, but I personally like IWW more than Illmatic.

It's more polished, the beats are better, it's more complex, more melodic, etc

Take it in Blood, I Gave You Power, The Message, Affirmative Action, If I Ruled the Wor......

All are bangers and better than some Illmatic songs

No it isn't :mjlol:

The thing with Illmatic at the time is it was only 10 tracks, a who's who of NY's hottest producers worked on it, and it had no guest appearances.

But, for all intents and purposes, IWW has better beats and in some cases, better songs.

IWW is a stone-cold classic. But I still have Illmatic above it (over any album from any genre).

The rhymes, the overall gritty plus Jazzy sound of Illmatic just encapsulates the beauty of Hip Hop. Listening to Illmatic you just get the sense that a young kid from the projects noticed a crack in the door, and then decided to kick it wide open. Forever changing the game.

Illmatic and Iww are like Scarface and Carlito's way. Similar themes, the second is a better movie, better acting better script ect but the first is a cult classic and more talked about
