im not totally sure I want a nas premo album as much as id like to see nas maybe just get a few dope producers and features ? is that fair to say? not sure in 2025

No get it over & done with so people can finally stfu (the Illmatic nerds) myself included we've been waiting too long. We all know it's not going to surpass their previous work but I still think Preemo can deliver a Magic level project. In this era that should satisfy any sane level Nas fan

Top 3 favorite moments of the Hit Boy run to me is this.

Number 1.
Hearing KD1 straight thru for the first time. Me and my wife just played the shyt straight through and that shyt hit like bricks wit how fire it was.

Number 2.
Magic dropping outta nowhere and hearing that for the first time. That shyt blew my mind. Prolly a top 6 Nas album for me.

Number 3:
Hearing Legit for the first time and then the next song is Thun. I knew that album was gonna be something special. My favorite KD album.

Truth be told, he should have won a Grammy for all 3. Tyler is the chosen one so he wasn’t going to win that one unfortunately. The mainstream hip hop media pushed heavily for killer mike to win the rap album over KD3. New York media stomped for that killer mike album to win way more than they have for any Nas album.

Yea F U C K Tyler for life but there was no way he’s losing at the Grammys unless he’s up against Kendrick Lamar.

KD3 had no business losing to Killer Mike and i’m a fan of that album. KD3 was head and shoulders above Michael and it was the highest rated rap album of the year, OVER Kendrick, Killer Mike, and everyone else who was nominated. I’m not going to call it a “damn shame” because Killer been putting in work for years but objectively speaking KD3 was the best album.

You speaking truth. It was like a full blown campaign for him to win it. Nas never got that. When he one his people were mad that he won over Freddie Gibbs Smh KD1 has become underrated. When I heard it the first time I can't explain it but the album just had a fresh sound to it and Nas wasn't even in his sharpest form. The album still just sounded so good tho.

By the Grammy logic, Nas had more bangers on KD1 than Alfredo. Alfredo had some joints though. Listening to a full alchemist produced album just ain’t for me though.

I have no “issue” with Alchemist. I think he’s slightly overrated as a producer because he’s white. and the whole “Nas should work with Alchemist instead of Hit-Boy” bullshyt was just that. BULLshyt.

I enjoyed the sonics on KD1 more than I did any of Alchemist’s recent work and Nas is a much better and more diverse rapper than Freddie ever could hope to be.

I think Nas should work with Alchemist simply because I enjoy their work together. I don’t feel he’s overrated cause he’s white. I feel he’s being properly rated cause he’s putting in MAD work. Son literally moved from working with superstar rappers to focus on his craft more and work with more underground rappers and it’s paid off handsomely. There’s no many other producers of his stature doing what he’s doing other than maybe I guess u can say Pete Rock but Pete Rock is a dikkhead don’t doesn’t have nearly the output as Alchemist. Havoc is as well but him and Al are basically connected. And I like KD1 better than Alfredo by the way.
