Hope history doesn't downplay with Nas did this year.

When's the last time a bunch of different legacy artists got full creative control over their products like this. The only time Nas intervened was to change up his own verse on Rae's album.
I honestly didn't think we would get all 7 releases this year, kind of like how the 4 EPs with four producers idea petered out for the 50 years project. Glad to be very wrong!

One thing I peeped in the Nas reddit comments as people were talking about the album is that Hit Boy has unfollowed Nas on IG. He didnt comment on the album even though I think Nas showed love to the Al/Hit project

I dont know if thats a thing or an issue with them. Dave East did the same thing but he showed love to Nas and commented on the album and I think they cool again

Hope they're aint no issue or static there with Hit and Nas. I remember some dude on twitter a year ago was doing some weird illusion they'll never work again but Hit did release that tribute joint.

Hit Boy showed love to Nas in one of his latest interviews.

Only an “appetizer” he says…

My guess would be at least 2 features on the newest AZ album

If a full length collab... can't decide if i want NaS to go the jazz route and end up with a 50+ albums discography or not... sometimes even too much of a good thing ends up overspilling

GOAT either way, nothing can be done at this point by nobody

Nas has said he’ll be rapping until he’s 80. I have no idea why ANY fan would want him to stop.

That six years between albums was some of the worst musical drought i’ve ever been through as a fan. As long as Nas has the will and desire to, let that man rap til his heart’s content.

Hit-Boy said last year that both he and Nas had plans apart from one another which is why Nas wanted to work hard and make sure Magic 2 & 3 came out on time. Hit wanted to fully devote himself to working with his pops and getting the next phase of his career started because that terrible production contract he signed when he was 18 was about to expire. Nas plans were obviously for The Legend Has It series and the Premier album. They’re both working on two different coasts now, i doubt Nas “ghosts” anybody, especially Hit-Boy, he’s just so busy with everything he’s got going on I doubt its easy to have interpersonal relationships with anyone outside of Jungle and his kids.

Hit-Boy would HAVE to know that.

My theory is if there's any issue it's related to Big Hit. Not saying there's an issue. But the last 30 years Nas consistently distanced himself from dudes bringing drama and stupid street shyt into his orbit. Big Hit getting locked up again suggest he was still involved with the nonsense. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Nas distanced himself from the whole situation and Hit-Boy felt a way about it.

Big Hit only had good things to say about Nas. Said Nas is a real one and exactly how he is in his music.

Hit-Boy said he was always going to focus on his father and setting up his new music ventures and seemed like it was with the understanding that Nas was going to go do his own thing in kind.
