I mean they did SIX ALBUMS together lol. The mission was accomplished. The man is 50 years old with two children, several businesses, touring, etc. He can’t be expected to just “hang out” with nikkas all the time.

They did six albums lol. What are they supposed to do, go to Nobu together monthly to catch up? I'm sure they talk. They might work again in the future. But right now Nas is doing Nas stuff and Hit Boy is working with a lot of west coast artists. I was kinda surprised he wasn't on GNX actually.

Word, Nas seems like an energy type person like he just moves to whoever gives him new energy he can tap into. The only person who seem to be constants in his life and Stoute and Jungle...and he fell out with both at times

It creates interesting periods in his career.

NY underground era
Trackmasters era
fukk Jay-Z and urrebody era
Salaam Remi era
Distant Relatives era
Hitboy Era

Now he seems to be in a tour/performance era, he's constantly performing and he's never been better at it. I've been going to Nas concerts since the Stillmatic tour and he's only been improving since.

I think in every era he gets most out of the relationship and so do they. Any further and its like exhaustive. Sure he can go back but once you lock in with someone new creativley the focus is there. Plus the guys you work with before may or may not have it. He went back and worked with Large, Pete, Tip and Primo too mixed results. This joint with primo is the first time he really going back and doing it for the fans and we'll see if its working. I got a hunch of what the answer is but I'll be hopefully lol
