Another big year for Nas. Another 5 star restaurant opening in Vegas to add to the NYC and Miami locations. Album on the way. And maybe a casino too.

He has a percentage of ownership. Nas and Resorts World have been promoting this since last year. They beat out Jay-Z’s investment’s group’s initiative to do something similar.

Nas didn't beat out Jay-Z. At least not yet. Today was the formal deadline for all the bids. Resorts World at the Aqueduct (Nas) and Empire in Yonkers already have racing with slots and video games. All they have to do is expand to table games to be full on casinos. Which is why many people think they are locks for 2 of the 3 licenses up for grabs.

While I agree with you that Nas fans are quick to hop on any slight. I disagree with you on this particular subject.

1.There's already a racino at that location. That means horse racing, slots, and other video games already operate there.. So it's not like they're introducing gambling to that area. They would only be adding table games.

2. The casino is supposed to bring jobs and housing to the community.

3. Gambling is a way of the world now. Anyone with a smartphone or access to the internet can gamble.

I've also seen developers promise the sun, moon, and stars, just to get what they want, and fail to deliver. I guess we'll see what happens. It's up to the local politicians to hold them accountable.

One thing about Nas is all his ventures I see are always tied to something positive. Even with Hennessy, it’s almost like he made it a point to give knowledge in the commercials about different figures that may not be as known. Nas is a capitalist but you can also make your money and use some of that money and resources to help others. Thats what Nas has always rapped about. Nas has always shown that balance in his music.
