Ray J is what happens when parents especially a mother spoils the son. Brandy was treated like shyt and Ray J was always treated like royalty by her crazy ass mom and the father was basically soft and passive and followed everything the crazy ass mom said. I feel bad for Brandy cause she loves Ray J and always tried to put him in position to succeed.

People I know talk about this dynamic all the time. I call it the AJ Soprano dynamic lol. Where the daughter is strictly governed over and prepared for adulthood while the son gets treated like a prince. Then they hit their 20s and one is successful while the other is struggling bad. Lot of brehs going thru that right now.

Best flowing? :wtf: Don’t disrespect Esco like that. This ain’t touching What Goes Around. From the music to Anthony Hamilton’s vocals. Just garbage. Especially when Anthony Hamilton starts wailing at the 4-minute mark. Just hate it. And then to follow it up with Summer on Smash. Momentarily takes me out of what is otherwise a great album.
:laff:

I agree that and SOS back to back is kind of rough. Nothing wrong with Nas rapping on Worlds an Addiction but that beat sounds off.

I saw that yesterday I think. Allhiphop isn’t…shall we say the best source for hip hop rumors anymore. COULD Nas make something like this happen for the Premo produced album? Of course. WILL he or does he even care to collab with said artists at this point? Seems unlikely. He and Thought have never been on a song together (though I seem to recall Questlove saying Nas was supposed to be on the How I Got Over album) and even though Nas and Kendrick share the same manager there’s been no hints of them collaborating.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Nas went for dolo on the Premier album just to show out and prove that he’s the best on Premo beats. They’ve been waiting a long time for this, I could see Nas wanting all the 16’s for himself.

I told ya’ll Nas wasn’t thinking about Jim Jones when he recorded that verse.

And if he was, he did use different lines? or the energy of the record would be different ?

That's why whether he is or isn't discussion to me is pointless. If the shoe fits...

The verse had a calming effect on Jimmy. And that's all the Rap public wanted.

There's this thing Nas and his recording engineer(s) have been doing since King’s Disease , where he’ll lay down multiple takes, and the engineer ends up stitching them together. You can clearly hear it: different volume levels, vocal inflections, even shifts in energy, like it’s a totally different take dropped into the verse. Or it might be that shyt that Lil' Wayne does. Record, stop, record, hear it back, record, stop, take it back, record.

For example, on this track, the line “And that rings loud, and reverberates” sounds spliced in. The volume and tone of his voice noticeably shift. And there are several moments like that throughout the verse. It just ends up sounding disjointed.

Y'all stans tell his team that.

OR
You can say fvck Nas n stick to those rappers with dope engineers you fvck with
